Errol Edwards AKA – ‘HEAD TOP’ was born in Bethnal Green but left these shores at the tender age of 6 for Jamaica, returning at 15 full of lyrics and love for sound systems. He first flexed his vocals on Jah Tubbys way back in the 80’s, and during this period He manage to master His trade working with sounds like King Original, King Tropical and various other prominent sound systems. Wherever he appeared he came, and he conquered, reeling off pure ‘Head Top’ lyrics to the delight of the masses who came along. After the sound system days, He began concentrating more on His lyrics and began putting them on paper so as to give ravers and party goers their favourite on request.
Being multi-talented he’s appeared both on the BBC and LWT and even had a role in the film ‘Scarlet’ (a version of the film ‘Scarlet Of Hara’ staring Timothy Dalton). He has also featured in a British Telecom advertising campaign and made appearances in ‘Bad Girls’, ‘Footballers Wives’ and the films ‘Closer’ and ‘Trauma’.
On stage Head Top is a real charmer as well as a true professional with an appealing face and bags of lyrics to boot.
